About the Photographers
Art has always had a passion for photography, from childhood to present. His first camera was a Kodak Brownie which was the highlight of his family vacations. In college he learned darkroom techniques and became a photographer that worked on the yearbook at North Central University. While many of his friends and family encouraged him to use his photography professionally and fulltime by starting his own business, it wasn’t until June of 2002 that Art decided to gear up and become married fulltime to his trade of passion. Before he started Ramsey Still Imaging, he was a featured Artist and his work sold in galleries throughout Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also had a side business of photographing weddings, and doing portraits (including pet portraits), model composites, architecture and real estate pictures for publication, landscapes, and a variety of freelance assignments for local studios. Art has integrity and professionalism to go along with his formal studies in photojournalism communications. His experience in a variety of settings and lighting conditions makes him a reliable choice for your wedding. His understanding of darkroom processes enables him to practice many of the same techniques used by Ansel Adams who has been the greatest influence in Art’s work. Art is always the primary photographer at every wedding. He believes wedding photography is first of all about enjoying people, constantly striving for trade excellence, and practicing humility. Your patronage is the gift you give to him , and his appreciation, humility, and hard work is the gift he gives back to you. Arthur is Art's son who has worked alongside his father since 2002. Arthur has a creative eye and brings a unique perspective to his photography and videography. Arthur shares the name because he also shares the birthday of his father. You might say our work is a work of Art's.
